It took over a week to get my own personal service set up correctly. It has been an extremely frustrating process. Now I am receiving ongoing emails for A DIFFERENT Spectrum customer whom I do not know. I spoke to 3 Spectrum representatives to have them stop this other customers emails being sent to me and none of them could help. I provided the other customers name (which is all I have in the email) and all 3 Spectrum reps said they couldn’t look up a customer’s account by name. They needed an account number. I don’t know this other customer. I don’t have their personal information. I have their name. SPECTRUM IS SENDING EMAIL MESSAGES FOR A CUSTOMER TO THE INCORRECT EMAIL, BUT STATE THEY CAN’T FIX IT. A corporation that can’t look up a customer by name only? Inadequate.

Over the past eight years, we have had three different ISP's: CenturyLink, HughesNet, and Xfinity. CenturyLink was totally unreliable, and their customer service was terrible. We only suffered with them for about a year. When we switched to HughesNet, we though "Satellite - can't be anything more reliable than that, right?" NOT! Throttled us from day one, and we wound paying out the nose to get adequate service. Mind you, this was before smart TV's and all the streaming we are doing now; just email and web surfing. And we were stuck with a 24-month contract. Our experience with Xfinity has been pretty much just the opposite. Their customer service is excellent, and we have seldom been without wireless service that couldn't be restored by rebooting the router. The one time we couldn't get wireless, I was able to connect via ethernet cable and get my payroll done. My only complaint with Xfinity is that they would not refund me the equipment rental I paid for several years while I owned my router. I forgive, but I don't forget!
