Prescott Residential Internet Coverage

Homes in Prescott are among some of the most expensive in the nation. Nearly 8% of the upper-middle class workforce telecommutes to their job _ many in Silicon Valley. Prescott is also considered a college town the residents are well-educated as well. Both telecommuters and students depend on a trustworthy internet connection to achieve their goals. Compared with 88% of Arizona, 100% of Prescott residents can connect to high-speed internet.

Cable One is the sole cable internet provider in the area. CenturyLink has a monopoly on the DSL market. The 1% of Prescott residents living north of the National Forest can also get copper wire connections from TW Telecom. Fiber optics have not yet made it into the area for residential customers.

For businesses, a small number (1%) can get fiber optics from Level 3 Communications. This is likely to increase over time. Business can also access the same high-speed services as residents.

Absolutely impossible to communicate with these people. They have never responded to my emails. If I have a fast internet connection it is the slowest fast I have ever experienced. Looking, looking, for an alternative now.
