Tried on 01/02/19 to get package deal for internet and direct tv put into my new built home with a new address. Went to the local att store to get information on it and was advised that my home does not show up as having access to their internet service however two of my neighbors currently have that same service. I told the sales rep that I do not want direct tv if I can't get att internet in my home, So sales rep at store put in an order to have direct tv installed on 01/11/19 and requested someone come out to my home to verify that service is available and that they would call me within 24 hours to set that up. Well no one contacted me within 24 hours. Now to be fair there was a snow storm during that 24 hours so I cut them a break but as of this date 01/09/19 I still have not received any communication from the tech peoiple about the service availability. on 01/07/19 I was tired of waiting so I called att customer service and was advised that internet was not available at my home. After a lot of trying to talk to a man that English was obviously his second language, I decided to hang up and I tried again later and spoke with a female named Maria ID#MF100T, I advised her that I wished to cancel the set appointment for the installation of direct tv as I had been advised the internet service was not available at my home, she told me that I would be charged a cancellation fee if I cancelled at this point. I advised her that there is no way I'm paying for any fee as it is alt's fault for the whole mess. After speaking with Maria further she then "guaranteed" me that internet service is available at my home and she emailed me a quote with great deals and discounts on it asking me to please give att/direct a second chance to make it right. I told her that I wanted to think about it so she advised me that she would call me back on 01/09.19 at 9 am central standard time. Well she never called me at that time. I then called back and during this call was advised that att internet service is not available for my home so I looked it up on the att site and it showed that my address does have internet service availability. At this point I'm so frustrated that I advised that I am done and to cancel the installation of direct tv. I then called dish network who is coming out to my home this afternoon to install tv service. I will figure out internet service later but I will not use att no matter what deal or discounts they offer at this point. The frustration and aggravation of this process is inexcusable. The poor customer service is beyond poor. If I could I would give them zero stars but it won't let me!!!
