Almost 18% of Arlington Heights residents were born outside the United States, making it an ethnically diverse area. Compared with 95% of Illinois, 100% of Arlington Heights can connect to high-speed internet.

Arlington Heights residents have three connection options. Cable internet is provided by Xfinity and WOW! AT&T is the area's DSL provider. All three reach 95% of residents. Fiber optics are not yet available to residents. Satellite internet from Hughesnet is another option, however.

I have a small business and my service is horrible. This has been ongoing for a few months but just this week my service was intermittent for three days and now out completely for two. Tough to run a business when you can't receive phone calls or accept payment. AT&T sends out inside crews and outside crews but none are succesful in resolving the issue. New outside wires need to be pulled in order to resolve the issue but AT&T will not perform the required change. As soon as an alternate provider is available to me I will be leaving AT&T
