Toledo Residential Internet Coverage

Currently, there are multiple fiber internet providers in Ohio_s large Midwestern city. Here are some of the options available for the good people of Toledo.

Centurylink Prism is one of the established providers in this area, covering far southern and western neighborhoods in its fiber network. Covered neighborhoods include Reynolds Corners, Franklin Park, and the southern border of East Toledo. CenturyLink_s DSL network is similar to its fiber network, covering neighborhoods on the western and southern edges of Toledo.

AT&T has a large DSL network that covers all of Toledo, although its fiber network is still being built out. They provide DSL as far north as Whitmer-Trilby, as far south as Beverly, as far west as Southwyck, and as far east as Birmingham. They also provide fiber to select parts of Toledo.

Many of Toledo_s neighborhoods enjoy DSL service through Frontier Communications. Northeastern neighborhoods in the service area include Point Place and Birmingham. Western neighborhoods include Franklin Park and Deveaux, although service stops short of the central neighborhoods of Onyx and Scott Park.

Time Warner Cable is one of the most established cable providers in this region, offering service to the neighborhoods of Birmingham, East Toledo, Beverly, Glendale, and Southwyck.

Finally, through local provider Buckeye CableSystem, all of Toledo can access high-speed cable internet.

Cable:

Cable provides internet speeds faster than DSL through the same cables used for cable TV.

Satellite:

Satellite internet is widely available, but offers slower speeds due to a far-traveling signal.

Fiber:

Fiber relies on glass strands to relay digital code and is much faster than both DSL and cable.

I personally have been with Buckey since 1998. But see many other offers and providers through my work. I work nursing in-home care. I enter homes of individuals for medical care and without doubt, EVERY home care for is asking me to help them in need for their Att&t service when I arrive. I'm a caregiver, not a cable technician. This is how bad the service is from At&t. Point....Buckeye is always the best for service. You will not be put on hold, have to wait for 'operating hours' nor have surprise charges on your bill which are concerns I see WAY OUT of my job description but try to help my patients. Here it is....DONT waste your time with At&t. Thank you Buckey for your service. Problems will always occur, but it's worth so much when I show up at a patients home and their with Buckey instead of At&t. Thank you Buckey!!

Buckeye is the worst internet provider but unfortunately it’s the only one we can get. As soon as AT&T is available here, we’re done with buckeye. We pay $99 a month and all we have is the internet! And it’s slow.
