I work from home, and just moving from out of state, I did some research about internet services in our area. ViaSat appeared to be the only company that offered more than 25Mbps, so i took advantage of their new customer offer. I have to say that the service is good...very good... on their Unlimited Gold 50 plan that I have. (up to 50Mbps) However, now that my new customer deal expired, I'm paying $170/month!! That's more than 3 times what I paid when I lived in the suburbs and had Xfinity/Comcast cable and internet. Now that I live in the beautiful hills of TN, my internet is supplied via a dish, but does that justify the extra $120/month?!? As soon as my service contract is over, I'll explore other options unless their prices come down to a more reasonable level. In the meantime, i can bump it down to the next lower plan and see how that works.
