Newport News Residential Internet Coverage

Newport News is a growing Virginia city with over 180,000 residents. Numerous internet service providers and plans make it easy for customers to choose a plan that fits their browsing habits and budget.

Verizon Fios has a major presence in this city, with coverage running as far north as Lee Hall and as far south as City Center. The network stretches from Hidenwood and Deep Creek in the west to Hanover Heights and Morrison in the east.

The Verizon DSL network is slightly larger than the Verizon Fios network, reaching the nearby neighborhood of Fort Eustis. Along the western coast, Verizon DSL is available in Hidenwood, Huntington, and Hilton. Inland, coverage reaches Oyster Point, Carriage Hill, and Beaconsdale.

Through Megapath, most of the residents of Newport News have access to high-speed internet. However, coverage is not available north of Stoney Brook Estates and Beechwood. Coverage extends east beyond Oriana and Harpersville to other communities.

Verizon HSI is low speed, average price, and average customer service. The non-fiber service is spotty and often cuts in and out, which is not helpful. I would recommend against it.
