I had Insight for years and lived in a little Podunk Town on the River..

I had a few glitches with Insight but they were always prompt in handling it

As soon as Time Warner took over the whole service went to heck in a handbasket..and customer service is a joke

Who knew that walls and carpet in your house caused your WIFI to go in and out..and good luck if you can find someone who speaks the same kind of English that you do!!

Moved to the city…towers all around me..

Got basic internet and couldn’t get enough service to even turn on my WIFI enabled printer if I had the PC and or iPad on..had to turn everything off to print a page

Upgraded to the next level ..worked for about 10 days and I am right back at the slow speeds..failure to load and internet has stopped working

I spend more time reloading pages than actually being on the internet..

It’s a waste of time even thinking about a relaxing day spent surfing the net..it’s impossible with TWC as your provider

I wish Louisville would run them out of town on a rail..they are useless for providing the service requested but quite capable of fleecing you of your hard earned money

I will be switching as I can’t see where I could possibly do any worse than Time Warner and their non English speaking Customer Service who tell you if you have walls and carpet that’s why you have spotty service

Cable speed, phone horrible, internet slow!!!!

Constant issues with our phone. Cable with boxes takes an unacceptable amount of time to switch channels. internet is SLOW, even with upgraded package. Online gaming is very laggy and incredibly frustrating! My son who is 10 won’t play online at our house anymore, its that bad. If you call and complain, they tell you to reboot everything, boost your signal for a day or two and then everything returns to typical crap. Only cable option we have. Im pricing out satellite and other internet options. Don’t waste your time even trying with them. Oh and customer service isn’t great either. they seem numb to what i can imagine is a constant barrage of unhappy customers….

Decent Internet & Phone.

Poor value and I dumped the cable

I like the internet and phone. I just did a speed test and got 17.55 mbps download & 1.16 mbps upload speed from my wireless MacBook. I pay $119.75 after all fees and taxes for internet & digital phone only. Very pricey.

I dumped “basic” cable after 3 DVR replacements and multiple customer service issues.

I really have fun when they knock on my door wanting to know who my internet service provider is. I invite them in and show them the 17 HD channels I get for free off an antenna. They keep stopping by, and I keep inviting them in!!!

I bought the ultimate 300 package from Time warner cable and i ran a speed test only to find out that i was only getting 41mbps… i called TWC and they kept making excuses (my laptop wasn’t compatible,it was my modem,it was a land line problem…..). I really dont know if i can get a refund or something in return?

Lag issues on every game I play, and now internet (facebook, email, so on) takes 5 minutes to load,

For months now there internet sucks, my family uses it for online gaming, and more, had like 7 tech people from them out, and they all say different things and hasn’t even fix the freaking problem. this has been going on in my area for years, and now its far worse, can’t even get on my email, or any page with out taking so much time to load. (this one took 20 minutes) and not to menching not long ago they jacked there prices up! I’m so feed up with them.

I pay for the 200/20 package which sets me back around 90 a month. I am a freelance programmer and it is vital to get access to my databases in order to work with others. That shouldn’t be a problem with 200/20, right? wrong, I average about 2.4Mb/s down and .8Mb/s up. Absolute trash.

Who ever said this internet is good for gaming is full of shit. The connection is constantly being disrupted and expect to receive 30-80% lower than your advertised download speeds. Skyping a potential girl/boyfriend– Discofuckingected. About to chalk up a high K/D match on CoD– discoshittingected.

Customer service randomly gives new unrelated reasons for what is going on without any improvement.

Ihave been a customer of brighthouse for 15 yrs at least. Internet cuts out when you need it the most, the cable t.v. is somewhat better, but the reason everyone went to cable was to not have commercials every 5 min. on every channel. I pay 150.00 /mo. for bundled commercials. Also ,it’s a good thing we have cell phones as the phone is in & out a lot. When you call to report the outage they ask if they can contact at your home number, THAT YOU ARE CALLING ABOUT, TO SAY IT’S OUT!!!! SERVICE Was Way Better when they were a small company. Like everyone else on the planet they have the BIG $ CORPORATION $ syndrome, charge the most & give the least & say it’s great! Does anyone really care about their customers concerns anymore?

Internet too slow,what happened?

I hate Time Warner. When we first signed up my internet was FAST, now its a snail and I am sick of it. I have read all the negative info. re: TW on how they purposely slow us down. They are too BIG for their britches and want to charge EXTRA for FASTER internet. They have nickled and dimed me to death. When they merge with Comcast LOOK OUT!

I think I am going to go to Direct TV, I hear great things about them.:)

Phone always goes out,what if I had to call 911? I am in a rural area and neighbors are either at work or too far away to get help. My Mom is 86.I can’t afford a cell phone. I pay too much for lousey service. The techs on the phone are RUDE and snotty. Maybe 2 out of 10 are ice.

What Pro?

Obviously their service is awful!

I get 6 Megabits Per Second when I should get 30. I know apparently more than the techs and have been out of networking for more than a decade. The customer service department is a joke, they sent me a letter saying they were changing my plan due to the fact my old plan expired. Well, loyalty to your service is not a joy to see an increase in my bill when the service given has been given several complaints. No discounts when service goes down completely. We are talking weeks of slow service on the internet, constant pixel breakdowns and then a 3 hour please wait on your extremely expensive boxes, reboots did not resolve the problem. But, according to Time Warner, everything is just fine. As long as they get my money they could careless about fixing it. I have news for them, they will not be getting my money for long after this experience.

I have never had a problem with Time Warner as an Internet Service Provider and this review is based solely on TW as an ISP. If you are having trouble with the speed, most likely you are using the junky modems/routers they rent out to you. I have used other ISP’s and TW is definitely much faster and if you compare pricing to speed, much cheaper. The worst part is their customer service! The best description would be that they seem very unorganized.

This don’t pay for what you don’t need is CRAP! They make you bundle stuff you don’t need if you want the lower price. It is BS. I just wanted TV & internet, But I have to bundle the phone and HBO for a lower price and it is still way to high! Then all they have is broken down refurbished equipment. Nothing new and this stuff is junk! High dollar for CRAP! Also, charging $3.00 per box for Cable Guide! Nickel and dime me! I am now looing into Dish. Been a customer for a long time, but enough is enough!

Many problems with channels unavailable. Customer service is beyond terrible. No appreciation of existing customers. The only way to lower costs is to go with bundling of options you do not want. I’m switching my TV to Direct as of today and my internet as soon as I find a decent alternative

1- Returned HD box to end HD service, yet TWC continued to charge me for 9 months for the service, including $3 lease a month for the remote. Only 50% of that was refunded to me because “the maximum amount of credit we can give you is $150”.

2- For my troubles, I managed to secure a deal for $30 for internet only under the promise of the price never changing in the future. 6 months later the total went up to $36 without notice, and after calling them I found out they started charging me $6 per month lease on the modem (which I had for 3 years now and I was never charged for). I got my own modem. 3 months later, today, the total price suddenly reached $42 again without notice. Customer service first explained via chat this was the end of a “promotional price”, when I told them I had no such a thing, they apologized for the “typo” and admited it was a general price hike for all customers.

3- Customer service is horrible. I caught representative on the phone talking to a co-worker about how she was going to “nip me in the butt” because of my complaints, not realizing I was still on the line.
