Worst/slowest service I’ve ever had. Takes 15+ minutes to simply load up a 5 minute YouTube video .. I switched from at&t because of their over charging every month, but now that i have experienced comcast, it was totally worth it.

Good while connected

Refusing to pay back money owed my deceased father

With drew monthly payments from deceased father’s account for over 3 years, to the amount of over d$4,000.00.

After many letters and conversations with comcast they admitted theire error but have now refused to return my calls or pay back money. They have clearly taken advantage of my elderly father who turned in his box at the age of 90, died shortly after, money still was being withdrawn till I discovered after my mother’s death. Are they moral people running that business and how are they able to get away with stealing deceased people’s money?

Prices, Cust Service, no 1080p

My price changes every month this year from $87 to $144. They advertise “competition is the same old thing” I only wish I could have that type of pricing. The best picture from comcast to me is 1080i. I have all HD tvs capable of 1080p but do not get that picture performance. I can with an antenna. Customer service is terrible, on phone, online chat, and email. I will be changing to a different service.

Omg the worst people I ever dealt with they flat out LIE to you for 5 days I’ve been waiting to get hooked up with the pkg of junk they sent me every day they oh it’s tomorrow. Horrible experience. Received a flyer in the mail offering $14.99 per month for xfinity high speed internet. Since ATT u-verse just bumped my rate 50% after my first year I decided to give Comcast a call. That’s where the fun began.

The robo-receptron could not understand my phone number nor would she put me through to a live person. After recycling through the list of options several times, all to no avail, finally I made up a phony number and address, which she deemed acceptable.

The individual in the boiler room had even more difficulty understanding my real phone number and address, probably the result of his working in a loud environment with everyone around him shouting, and English not being his primary language.

Eventually, after repeating myself 20 times, he agreed to have someone call me back.

I’m still waiting.

I contacted ATT and complained about the price hike, and agreed to accept a call back, which came fifteen minutes later, where I was told that the promotional price would be reinstated for another year.

Based on my experience and those of the others on this site, I won’t be contacting Comcast again.

Paying for service that is crappy

Download speeds up to 1Mb/s

Let’s see with xfinity cable I consistently have faster upload speed than download speeds. They gave me boost service which bumped me up to 2Mb/s downloads after midnight on the westcoast. Once I called customer service and they tried to fix my modem remotely but only ended up rendering the wireless modem dead. It would no longer broadcast wifi so I had to get a new modem. Only to end up with the same slow cable internet connection. To watch any video I have to be with 10ft of the modem otherwise my single device can’t download fast enough to keep up. Walk into another room and I have to wait 20-40s for a text heavy website with no other features to load. Absolutely crappy service. I will upgrade to DSL to faster service.

The only thing I found consistent about my Comcast service is their lack of reliability. Nevermind the constant Internet outages in the middle of the day, and even worse at night. There are frequent issues with the television channels. Unfortunately, they’re a geographic monopoly where I live. They seem to have a habit of praying on areas with little to no competition. So they can get away with their poor service. I spit in their general direction.

bad customer service, slow int speed, have t received a bill

if you call customer service, be sure you have an hour to spare. At least! They transfer you to 7 different people and if you’re lucky you will get your issue solved. I have received 1 bill in 4 months. I have called three times and still have t received another. OR even an Email! The Internet is touch and go and just sucks. Wish I had the $, I’d cancel today. I’m going back to Verizon!

Horrible internet service

Comcast internet service is like something from the old

Soviet Union. The modem they provide apparently is WWII

surplus. Apparently, it uses old fashioned vacuum tubes, because when I try to get on the internet early in the morning, it takes a long time to warm up. The shitheads at Comcast have promised over and over that

they would send a new Modem, but they never have.

The service is slow, and unreliable. Their own website,

comcast.net is awful; sometimes I can’t access my e-mail. Their internet service constantly freezes up, and I have to use ‘force quit’ over and over. Comcast is just another huge Facist corporation whose motto is ‘cut costs and increase profits. They care absolutely nothing about their customers.

Comcast is one of the worst business I have dealt with.

We signed a contract over a two year period.

After some time, I have noticed that Comcast has decreased (unauthorized) some TV channels. High speed internet Comcast claims, also disconnected frequently to the point of disrupting me from completing important tasks. Comcast also crept up in monthly billing amount. Some day, Comcast charged extra for modem rental, in which I personally own (I did not borrow the modem from Comcast). I called to correct the issue, but Comcast kept on stating otherwise. They asked when I purchased my own modem, whether I have the receipt or not. When I asked about the contract termination, Comcast claimed that it found the record of me having my own modem. Comcast tried so hard to apparently give me the “best offer” for “customer satisfaction”. I wanted to return the TV cable box. I called and the representative stated that I have 10 days grace period after the end of the service day to return the equipment. The representative said that someone will pick up the equipment in a week, and that I would not be charged. I kept the TV cable box for a week until someone picked up. I did not watch TV or use the internet, as I switched to the other company. Then, Comcast billed me extra (over $100.00) for holding the equipment for 7 days. I called and representative named Paul said that I was supposed to turn the equipment in by the end of the last service date. I kept on telling him that multiple Comcast representatives told me otherwise, and that as a company, Comcast had a responsibility to inform its customers correctly. He kept on saying that he’s sorry but won’t do the right thing whatsoever of not charging me of being wrongly informed. Comcast is one of the worst business out there. It’s highly unprofessional and keep seeking the opportunities to charge its customers more.

Comast is AWFUL!!! They take no responsibility for their workers’ words or actions, and frequently contradict one another to the detriment of your credit card. They will even admit that you cannot depend on them, one rep said, “I can’t tell you what another employee will do, they will probably mess it up if you talk to them now.” Another quote from their own employee, “I’ve heard it all, I would never get Comcast.” Never get Comcast.

I had Verizon, hands down there the best. they have it together, but they are rip offs. over paying for everything. Comcast just don’t care, all there lines and service is out dated by 20 years. oh they changed the name, exfinity, really? and that fixed everything lol. that’s what your going to get when you signup, shitty everything. you could go dish. don’t work when it rains. wtf. can’t we the people get good tv and internet at a good price. in the U.S.A.

The speed is horrible. Internet connectivity drops randomly, sometimes for hours at a time. If you have home telephone service bundled with your internet, be prepared to go without a dialtone for these periods of time. The customer service representatives are polite–but not knowledgeable. I guess one pro is that they’re not located in India, but they might as well be. I once spent 25 minutes awaiting a download of 4MB from GOOGLE’s servers. Lemmie guess, Google was having a bad day? The prices are outrageous. You get double billed for modem returns so you have to watch your invoices for months even after canceling service. They try to lock you into multi-year contracts for their crappy service. They recently upped their modem rental service fee by 25%.
