The launch of the first ever app for wireless users providing information on digital safety and security has been launched by the Internet Education Foundation (IEF). The app has been developed with the help of Verizon and Google. With so many mobile broadband users and smart phone users being oblivious with regards to online security and safety, this app could prove to be extremely useful for many people.

Content that is in the app is provided by a number of leading online safety organization, including Common Sense Media, ConnectSafely.org, OnGuardOnline.gov, and GetNetWise.org. It is thought that over time a rising number of online safety groups will be feeding through content for the app.
