Connectivity and quality of service still hitting many US wireless broadband carriers even though the roll out new applications for wireless devices on an almost daily basis.
Many users of wireless telecommunication services in the US find that the spotty wireless coverage can be annoying and are looking for a way to fix the issue. The need to move from location to location in order to get a good wireless signal is something a lot of users feel needs fixing and leading wireless carriers have said that they are listening to feedback from customer and will make call quality a priority by investing heavily on upgrades to their networks.
Millions of dollars were invested by Sprint Nextel, Verizon Wireless and AT&T to improve their network services including South Florida back in 2009.
The improvement of data and call service quality overall, the reduction of failed connections, slow internet downloads, dropped calls and the dropped delivery of emails or text messages is often the aim of improving wireless networks.
For those who rely on their broadband services 24 hours a day the lack of reliability of some wireless network can be a serious issue with many customers.
In an effort to improve its wireless network AT&T has added third generation (3G) high-speed wireless broadband technology to over 35 of its existing cellsites across the whole of South Florida, among other upgrades, and has also activated a further 16 new cell sites in South Florida and nearby counties said Kelly Starling a spokeswoman for South Florida.
She also advised that the carrier has spent over $134 million on its network in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties since 2007 through to September of this year.
Also, there have been state-wide improvements to both wireline and wireless network service costing over $3 billion made by AT&T from 2006 through to 2008.
