Flaws in new broadband map

Whilst the interactive broadband map launched in the United States is bound to have a positive effect some industry officials have pointed out that it does have flaws.

In the United States an interactive broadband map was recently launched, and this map is designed to help a range of people in a number of ways. It can help to show where there are high speed broadband services in particular areas, where there is a lack of broadband, and what sort of internet access is available in different areas.

However, whilst the interactive map will prove very useful to many consumers, businesses, and officials it has also been pointed out that there are still flaws in the technology. According to some officials there are still gaps in data on the map, missing information, and other problems despite the fact that experts have been working on the development of the map for two years.

Known as the National Broadband Map, this was produced by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, which is part of the Department of Commerce. It was produced in conjunction with the Federal Communications Commission. There is a lot of valuable information on the map and it has the potential to prove extremely useful to many people.

However, the gaps in data and information on the map and the problems that have been highlighted by some of those that have looked at the map and tried to use it have said that the information on there is complete which means that it cannot be used as effectively as it should be.
