In a recent announcement at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show Sling Media has announced a subscription offer for customers of Verizon 4G mobile broadband.
Consumers using selected 4G smart phones on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network have recently learned of a new subscription deal that will soon be made available to them. The subscription offering was revealed recently by Sling Media at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show.
The subscription service that has been revealed by Sling Media will enable Verizon Wireless customers to watch their home television on the new 4G smart phones. Those signing up to the subscription will receive a Slingbox®, the SlingPlayer™ application, and all the accessories that they need for networking.
John Gilmore, senior vice president and general manager at Sling Media, said: “With significantly increased speeds and reduced latency, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network provides an ideal environment for a fantastic Sling viewing experience with great video quality. Sling’s subscription offering is a new, easy way for consumers to start enjoying their home TV wirelessly, with one monthly bill from Verizon and without a long term contract for the Sling app.”
Subscribers to the service will therefore be able to watch their favourite television shows that they would normally watch at home whilst they are on the move from their 4G mobile phones, and further details about the subscription deal from Sling Media and Verizon are set to be released very soon.
