Truly Unlimited plan for smartphones unveiled by T-Mobile
T-Mobile has just released a new $79 plan called Truly Unlimited. Let’s take a look at this plan in detail and see of it is “truly unlimited.”
Marketing-wise, T-Mobile decides to compare the $79.99 plans of the other carriers. As expected, T-Mobile really shines here because AT&T, Sprint and Verizon do not include any data in their like-priced plans.
They only beat the 1000 messages included by AT&T. They are tied with Verizon and Sprint because their $79.99 plans also include unlimited text.
BOTH AT&T and T-Mobile offer unlimited anytime minutes while Sprint includes 450 minutes and Verizon comes in at 900 minutes.
T-Mobile also claims the largest 4G network.
So where does this leave you? If you own or are thinking of getting a smartphone, this might be the best deal for you. T-Mobile’s $79.99 Truly Unlimited plan beats any combo that I can think of.
One wireless company offers a $40 monthly voice plan and a $45 data plan, so that is still more expensive and the data is not unlimited for the $45.
T-Mobile fudges the truth a bit also. Their “unlimited” data will run at the full 4G speed until you reach 2 GB. At that point they throttle down your speed.
Still, even with a slower speed after 2 GB, you can’t beat it for the price of $79.99. You will need a new 2-year commitment to get this plan.
Can’t beat that with a stick either!
