The soon to be released Motorola DROID RAZR has emerged on Verizon’s DROID DOES web site.  This sudden appearance announced the pending début.

Motorola DRIOD RAZR Motorola DROID RAZR appears on Verizon web siteEven the price for the DROID RAZR has been fixed.  You will be able to pick up this gem of a product for just $299.99 with a two year plan and a “data pak” from Verizon.

The DROID RAZR is being touted as the world’s thinnest 4G LTE smartphone. At its thickest point, it is 7.1 mm thick, but most of the smartphone is much thinner.

It has a 4.3-inch super AMOLED touchscreen display for great graphics.  It is also made out of Corning’s very tough Gorilla Glass.

The DROID RAZR has other protective attributes such as a Kevlar back.  It also has a water-repellent nanocoating, but I do not recommend taking it swimming or into the shower.

It has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and applications to extend battery life.  You can also create rules for your RAZR.

Someone in Verizon’s marketing and sales organization certainly has an ironic sense of humor.  The DROID RAZR has all these protective built-ins like Gorilla Glass and the DROID DOES web site says the DROID RAZR is “BREAKING COVER IN NOVEMBER.”

I would certainly not want to buy a DROID RAZR and have the glass cover break.  Yes, I know the ”breaking cover” is Verizon’s way of saying the official reveal will be in November.

It is just over a week until November, but Verizon does not say exactly when in November it will become available.  You can give Verizon your email address and get more information about the DROID RAZR.

Will you be tempted into getting one of these?
