DROID RAZR pre-order opens up tomorrow, October 27

Broadband Expert wrote about the DROID RAZR a couple of days ago telling you it would be introduced sometime in November.  Today, I received an email telling be pre-orders would start tomorrow, October 27, starting at 8:00 am EDT.

This was a surprise as I did not expect to hear anything until next week.  Well, if you are in California, you can pre-order starting Thursday morning at 5:00 am PDT.

If you decide to order “The World’s Thinnest 4G LTE Phone,” it will cost you one cent under $300.00.  You will also need to have a new 2-year contract and order a Verizon Data Pak.

To review its specifications, it is 7.1 mm thick at its thickest point.  The display is made from Corning’s very tough Gorilla Glass with a 4.3-inch super AMOLED touchscreen display.  This should make for some great graphics.

The DROID RAZR has a Kevlar back, but don’t be attempted to use it as part of a bullet-proof vest.  With its water-repellent nanocoating it should repel some drops of water, but keep it away from the water when going to the beach.

It sports a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has applications to be kind to your battery’s life.

If you need to shave some weight off the smartphone you carry, you might want to pre-order a RAZR.
