Verizon Wireless brings 4G LTE to 200 million Americans tomorrow
Tomorrow, February 16th, Verizon Wireless will be covering a total of 198 markets with its 4G LTE network. Over 200 million people across America will be covered by Verizon’s 4G LTE footprint.
Tomorrow, a brand new 4G LTE network will be heated up in Cookeville, Tennessee. Around one hundred thousand people and a pink elephant should be covered by this footprint.
Across the rest of the nation, tomorrow will see Verizon activating expanded 4G LTE wireless broadband services in Little Rock, Arkansas; Rapid City, South Dakota; Clarksville, Tennessee; and San Antonio Texas.
The CTO of Verizon Wireless, David Small said in the press release “As the nation’s largest 4G LTE network, our focus remains on continuing to expand the network while providing our customers with an unmatched 4G experience. We remain committed to offering the strongest service available with the same gold standards our customers have come to expect from our reliable 3G network.”
Verizon is advertising download speeds of between 5 Mbps to 12 Mbps on fully-loaded network sites. Upload speeds of 2 Mbps to 5 Mbps are expected in the same conditions. Needless to say, users could see higher speeds on less populated areas.
If you are living in one of these areas and have a Verizon 4G device, please leave us a comment with the speeds you see on their 4G LTE network.
