T-Mobile now offers Micro SIM card for those unlocked Apple iPhones
The new Micro SIM cards are now available from T-Mobile. Measuring 15 mm × 12 mm × 0.76 mm, these tiny cards are the first I have seen made available for the new unlocked GSM iPhones.
It is not surprising that they have added this to their product line. Remember that AT&T is attempting to buy T-Mobile, so they are going right ahead and marketing these new cards.
The Micro SIM cards are available for $9.99 at the T-Mobile store. If you are in to saving some money you can get it for free with on the web.
You will need to purchase a 2-year plan, but that should be a great deal since you will be able to get an unlimited data plan for your unlocked iPhone or iPad 2. AT&T long ago eliminated the unlimited data for the iPhone.
The micro SIM card only fits the iPhone4 smartphone and the iPad 2 w/3G tablet, that I know of at this time. Yes, Verizon is going to use the new smaller SIM card in their Galaxy Tag 10.1.
Also, I saw some devices that allow you to take a normal size SIM card and use it in the Micro SIM slot. You trim it to the proper size and use an adapter to allow t to plug into the Micro SIM slot.
Will T-Mobile be getting the Apple line of wireless products to sell prior to the AT&T purchase?
