Physical as well as virtual examinations were conducted of the computing environment.  Policies and procedures were also reviewed to ensure best practices were adhered to.

They established cloud centers in Europe as well as in the United States.

This certification and audit ensures sensitive credit card transactions and the stored data are secure.

Verizon’s Executive Director of Enterprise Cloud Services, Joseph S. Crawford, said “Compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS is a competitive differentiator for Verizon in the marketplace.  As the adoption of cloud-enabled IT services continues to accelerate, it is essential that we continue to invest in delivering a secure, PCI compliant-ready cloud environment that supports a broader range of business-critical applications.”

Verizon also has its own transactions network which customers can use to process their credit card transactions securely and with the confidence that all the data will remain secure.
