4G LTE Services
Mobile broadband networks are now finding it hard to cope with the huge rise in the amount of data being transferred over them and the increase in the popularity of mobile broadband devices and new smart phones. This is pushing most providers to look at new technologies that will allow them to provide their users with the connection speed and reliability they are looking for and one such technology is 4G LTE. This new fourth generation or 4G technology will offer providers the extra bandwidth they need to be able to provide users with much faster access to the internet over a mobile broadband connection that is reliable even during the busiest times of the day.
What will the rollout of 4G LTE offer users?
The rollout of a new fourth generation network like 4G LTE will greatly improve the quality of service that providers will be able to offer users as it will allow them to provide a mobile broadband connection that is considerably faster and more reliable than anything offered over the current 3G mobile broadband networks. The combination of increased bandwidth and fast connection speeds that 4G LTE will provide will finally allow mobile broadband networks to compete with fixed line connections in terms of how people will be able to use their mobile broadband service. This will include users being able to download large data files, use online tools and applications, and even stream music and high definition movies over their mobile broadband connection.
As well as offering far better speeds and reliability mobile broadband networks using 4G LTE technology will also be able to provide vastly improved network coverage throughout the country. Users will benefit from the increased levels of coverage as soon as 4G LTE networks are rollout out by mobile broadband providers due to the huge range that each LTE enabled base stations will provide. This will also serve to significantly reduce costs for mobile network providers and will make it far more viable for them to provide high speed mobile broadband services to the rural and remote parts of the country where it was previously not cost-effective for broadband services to be deployed.
What other 4G technologies will be available other than 4G LTE?
Currently there are only a small number of technologies fighting to become the main provider of 4G network services in the US and of these the two main technologies are 4G LTE and 4G WiMAX. Most mobile broadband providers have yet to decide which of these technologies will be deployed over their existing mobile broadband networks although there has recently been an increase in the number of 4G LTE trials that are being carried out and it appears that LTE is currently the more popular of the two technologies. It is, however, still possible that a number of mobile broadband providers will eventually opt for using 4G WiMAX as it carries a much lower cost to build into mobile broadband networks than its LTE rival.
